On the 7th July 2018, the festival Players are bringing to Ramsden The Winter’s Tale: a story of right royal suspicion, a wronged queen, a lost child, true love and a murderous bear. Written in two parts, Shakespeare brilliantly takes us from despair, loss and tragedy in the court of Leontes to the bucolic charm of summery Bohemia in this play about loss and redemption.
The play will start at 7.30pm with a 20 minute interval where free refreshments will be served. Please come and have a picnic in the garden beforehand; the gate will be open from 5.30pm.
Tickets cost £25 each and school age children can come for free. The play is fully sponsored so ALL ticket proceeds go to the Ashmolean.
